Brasparts is a commune in Finistère with 820 registered voters, the 184th largest of the département's 276 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.2% of them voted, more than the 60.9% across Finistère, and the list led by Valérie Besnard won 11 of the council's 15 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.6%, France Unbowed 24%, National Rally 18.7%. National Rally did 5 points worse here than across France.
