Valentigney is a commune in Doubs with 6,811 registered voters, the 5th largest of the département's 558 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 46.3% of them voted, fewer than the 56.3% across Doubs, and VALENTIGNEY ENCORE + FORT won 26 of the council's 33 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 30.5%, National Rally 25.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 21.1%. France Unbowed did 9 points better here than across France.
