About Mathay
Mathay is a commune in Doubs with 1,616 registered voters, the 40th largest of the département's 558 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 77.2% of them voted, more than the 56.3% across Doubs, and MATHAY, L'AVENIR S'ECRIT ENSEMBLE won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 38.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 23.7%, France Unbowed 10.8%. National Rally did 15 points better here than across France.
