About Vanxains
Vanxains is a commune in Dordogne with 542 registered voters, the 145th largest of the département's 503 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 77.3% of them voted, more than the 65.8% across Dordogne, and La confiance renouvelée won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 33.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.8%, France Unbowed 13.5%. National Rally did 10 points better here than across France.
