Aubusson is a commune in Creuse with 2,368 registered voters, the 3rd largest of the département's 252 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.2% of them voted, fewer than the 67.2% across Creuse, and AUBUSSON, UNE ÉQUIPE, UN AVENIR won 20 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 26.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.9%, National Rally 20.7%. France Unbowed did 5 points better here than across France.
