Ajain is a commune in Creuse with 683 registered voters, the 23rd largest of the département's 252 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 71.7% of them voted, more than the 67.2% across Creuse, and AJAIN, S'UNIR POUR AVANCER won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 26.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.6%, France Unbowed 20.3%. National Rally did 3 points better here than across France.
