At the municipal election of March 2026 63% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and CAP SUR L'AVENIR won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 28.5%, National Rally 27.5%, France Unbowed 18.1%. National Rally did 4 points better here than across France.
