Saint-Jean-d'Angle is a commune in Charente-Maritime with 458 registered voters, the 245th largest of the département's 462 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 76.9% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and Ensemble à Saint Jean d'Angle won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 36.9%, France Unbowed 18.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 16.2%. National Rally did 14 points better here than across France.
