Saint-Aigulin is a commune in Charente-Maritime with 1,629 registered voters, the 73rd largest of the département's 462 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67.4% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and POUR SAINT-AIGULIN won 17 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 37.5%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 21.9%, France Unbowed 16.8%. National Rally did 14 points better here than across France.
