Puy-du-Lac is a commune in Charente-Maritime with 429 registered voters, the 257th largest of the département's 462 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 72% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and CONTINUONS D'AGIR POUR PUY-DU-LAC won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 36%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.5%, France Unbowed 17.8%. National Rally did 13 points better here than across France.
