Les Gonds is a commune in Charente-Maritime with 1,440 registered voters, the 86th largest of the département's 462 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.9% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and RÉUSSIR ENSEMBLE won 19 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.8%, National Rally 24.5%, France Unbowed 17%. France Unbowed did 5 points worse here than across France.
