Roannes-Saint-Mary is a commune in Cantal with 913 registered voters, the 24th largest of the département's 249 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 74.7% of them voted, more than the 71% across Cantal, and PARTAGEONS L'AVENIR won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 28%, National Rally 25.6%, France Unbowed 12.4%. France Unbowed did 10 points worse here than across France.
