Barbery is a commune in Calvados with 608 registered voters, the 173rd largest of the département's 526 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.1% of them voted, more than the 58.2% across Calvados, and ENSEMBLE POUR BARBERY won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 30.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.3%, France Unbowed 20%. National Rally did 7 points better here than across France.
