Saales is a commune in Bas-Rhin with 617 registered voters, the 245th largest of the département's 513 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 75% of them voted, more than the 55.8% across Bas-Rhin, and Au plus près des Saâlois ! won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 35.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 23%, France Unbowed 19%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
