Cruscades is a commune in Aude with 622 registered voters, the 98th largest of the département's 433 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 79.3% of them voted, more than the 64.6% across Aude, and CRUSCADES NOTRE VILLAGE NOTRE AVENIR won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 41.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 17.6%, France Unbowed 13.2%. National Rally did 18 points better here than across France.
