Saint-Lyé is a commune in Aube with 2,444 registered voters, the 13th largest of the département's 431 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.1% of them voted, more than the 54.5% across Aube, and ECOUTER POUR AGIR won 18 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 33.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.2%, France Unbowed 13.7%. National Rally did 10 points better here than across France.
