Verniolle is a commune in Ariège with 1,853 registered voters, the 13th largest of the département's 325 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67.6% of them voted, more than the 64% across Ariège, and VERNIOLLE MON VILLAGE NOTRE ENGAGEMENT won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 23.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 22.2%, France Unbowed 21.9%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 5 points worse here than across France.
