Mercus-Garrabet is a commune in Ariège with 978 registered voters, the 19th largest of the département's 325 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.6% of them voted, fewer than the 64% across Ariège, and UNIS, FAISONS BATTRE LE COEUR DE NOS VILLAGES won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
