Volonne is a commune in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence with 1,259 registered voters, the 20th largest of the département's 197 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 71.4% of them voted, more than the 66% across Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, and Energie VOLONNE won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 25.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 22.8%, France Unbowed 21%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 5 points worse here than across France.
