Billy is a commune in Allier with 661 registered voters, the 79th largest of the département's 315 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 69.7% of them voted, more than the 60.3% across Allier, and Billy avec vous ! won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 32.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 23.5%, France Unbowed 12.1%. France Unbowed did 10 points worse here than across France.
