Marsonnas is a commune in Ain with 774 registered voters, the 174th largest of the département's 390 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 55.3% of them voted, more than the 52.5% across Ain, and MARSONNAS, VOTRE VILLAGE ! won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 30.5%, National Rally 30.3%, France Unbowed 11.5%. France Unbowed did 10 points worse here than across France.
