Buenavista del Norte is a municipality in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 4,753 inhabitants, the 35th largest of its 54 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE came first with 53.4% of the vote and 7 seats, an absolute majority; SSP was second with 4. 72.3% of the 3,952 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
