Forcarei is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra with 3,194 inhabitants, the 47th largest of its 61 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PP came first with 48.3% of the vote and 5 seats; PSDEG-PSOE was second with 5. 77.7% of the 2,880 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
