Comares is a municipality in the province of Málaga with 1,320 inhabitants, the 71st largest of its 103 municipalities. Its council has 9 seats, and 5 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PP came first with 45.9% of the vote and 4 seats; AVCM was second with 4. 82.4% of the 862 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
