Pozuelo de Alarcón is a municipality in the province of Madrid with 87,728 inhabitants, the 14th largest of its 179 municipalities. Its council has 25 seats, and 13 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PP came first with 55.8% of the vote and 17 seats, an absolute majority; VOX was second with 4. 75.9% of the 65,140 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
