Aracena is a municipality in the province of Huelva with 8,240 inhabitants, the 16th largest of its 80 municipalities. Its council has 13 seats, and 7 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSOE-A came first with 52.3% of the vote and 7 seats, an absolute majority; PP was second with 5. 60.5% of the 6,567 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
