Ruesga is a municipality in the province of Cantabria with 815 inhabitants, the 73rd largest of its 102 municipalities. Its council has 7 seats, and 4 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 P.R.C. came first with 51.7% of the vote and 4 seats, an absolute majority; PP was second with 3. 84.2% of the 753 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
