Terrassa is a municipality in the province of Barcelona with 224,114 inhabitants, the 3rd largest of its 311 municipalities. Its council has 27 seats, and 14 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 TXT came first with 33.5% of the vote and 11 seats; PSC-CP was second with 7. 50.3% of the 158,703 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
