Guardamar del Segura is a municipality in the province of Alicante/Alacant with 16,138 inhabitants, the 30th largest of its 141 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSOE came first with 51.9% of the vote and 9 seats, an absolute majority; PP was second with 6. 67.6% of the 9,853 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
On today's national polls our projection keeps PSOE on 9 seats, a majority, which it holds in 58% of our simulations.
