About Elche/Elx

Elche/Elx is a municipality in the province of Alicante/Alacant with 235,580 inhabitants, the 2nd largest of its 141 municipalities. Its council has 27 seats, and 14 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE came first with 38.7% of the vote and 12 seats; PP was second with 11. 65.7% of the 172,209 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
