At the municipal election of March 2026 66.9% of them voted, more than the 60.9% across Finistère, and Plouigneau Ensemble La Dynamique Continue won 26 of the council's 33 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 28.2%, France Unbowed 23.1%, National Rally 21.5%. Reconquête did 4 points worse here than across France.
