Pel-et-Der is a commune in Aube with 125 registered voters, the 285th largest of the département's 431 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 89.6% of them voted, more than the 54.5% across Aube, and Pour un village vivant et accueillant won 10 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 28.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.4%, France Unbowed 12.2%. France Unbowed did 10 points worse here than across France.
