Vivaise is a commune in Aisne with 557 registered voters, the 136th largest of the département's 797 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 75.6% of them voted, more than the 56.3% across Aisne, and the list led by Jean-Marc Vianas won 12 of the council's 15 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 34.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 26.3%, France Unbowed 13.9%. National Rally did 11 points better here than across France.
