Espartinas is a municipality in the province of Sevilla with 16,401 inhabitants, the 25th largest of its 106 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE-A came first with 46.5% of the vote and 9 seats, an absolute majority; PP was second with 5. 60.8% of the 12,093 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
