Verín is a municipality in the province of Ourense with 13,625 inhabitants, the 3rd largest of its 92 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSDEG-PSOE came first with 41.2% of the vote and 8 seats; B.N.G. was second with 5. 63.7% of the 10,555 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
