Taboada is a municipality in the province of Lugo with 2,646 inhabitants, the 28th largest of its 67 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PP came first with 33.9% of the vote and 4 seats; PSDEG-PSOE was second with 4. 83% of the 2,327 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
