Fornells de la Selva is a municipality in the province of Girona with 2,693 inhabitants, the 53rd largest of its 221 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 CM came first with 58.7% of the vote and 7 seats, an absolute majority; IPF-AMUNT was second with 3. 68.5% of the 2,034 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
