Moral de Calatrava is a municipality in the province of Ciudad Real with 5,178 inhabitants, the 22nd largest of its 102 municipalities. Its council has 13 seats, and 7 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PP came first with 64.3% of the vote and 9 seats, an absolute majority; PSOE was second with 4. 76.2% of the 3,985 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
