Lanestosa is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia with 261 inhabitants, the 107th largest of its 112 municipalities. Its council has 7 seats, and 4 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 EAJ-PNV came first with 51.6% of the vote and 4 seats, an absolute majority; LZ was second with 3. 73.4% of the 214 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
