Cerdanyola del Vallès is a municipality in the province of Barcelona with 57,291 inhabitants, the 18th largest of its 311 municipalities. Its council has 25 seats, and 13 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSC-CP came first with 46.6% of the vote and 14 seats, an absolute majority; ERC - AM was second with 4. 55.7% of the 43,683 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
