Fuente de Cantos is a municipality in the province of Badajoz with 4,667 inhabitants, the 27th largest of its 165 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PP came first with 54.2% of the vote and 7 seats, an absolute majority; PSOE was second with 3. 78.9% of the 3,880 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
