Huércal de Almería is a municipality in the province of Almería with 18,384 inhabitants, the 8th largest of its 103 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PP came first with 63.7% of the vote and 13 seats, an absolute majority; PSOE was second with 1. 59.4% of the 13,657 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
