Padrón is a municipality in the province of A Coruña with 8,349 inhabitants, the 26th largest of its 93 municipalities. Its council has 13 seats, and 7 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSDEG-PSOE came first with 41% of the vote and 6 seats; PP was second with 6. 69.5% of the 7,023 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
