Lousame is a municipality in the province of A Coruña with 3,210 inhabitants, the 68th largest of its 93 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PP came first with 53% of the vote and 6 seats, an absolute majority; PSDEG-PSOE was second with 4. 65.9% of the 2,778 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
