Verneuil-sur-Seine is a commune in Yvelines with 10,988 registered voters, the 28th largest of the département's 259 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 54.3% of them voted, close to the 54.4% across Yvelines, and the list led by Fabien Aufrechter won 26 of the council's 33 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 36.1%, France Unbowed 19.7%, National Rally 14.1%. National Rally did 9 points worse here than across France.
