Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis is a commune in Yvelines with 5,609 registered voters, the 49th largest of the département's 259 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 65.8% of them voted, more than the 54.4% across Yvelines, and UNIS POUR LE MESNIL won 25 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 37.1%, France Unbowed 16.2%, National Rally 12.8%. National Rally did 11 points worse here than across France.
