Coignières is a commune in Yvelines with 2,629 registered voters, the 83rd largest of the département's 259 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 56.2% of them voted, close to the 54.4% across Yvelines, and Un Elan Durable Pour Coignières won 23 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 36.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.9%, National Rally 14.9%. France Unbowed did 15 points better here than across France.
