Auffargis is a commune in Yvelines with 1,658 registered voters, the 97th largest of the département's 259 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 51.9% of them voted, fewer than the 54.4% across Yvelines, and AUFFARGIS, NOTRE VILLAGE won 19 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 38.4%, France Unbowed 16.5%, National Rally 12.1%. National Rally did 11 points worse here than across France.
