Mirebeau is a commune in Vienne with 1,444 registered voters, the 49th largest of the département's 265 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.8% of them voted, more than the 58.1% across Vienne, and Mirebeau - un nouvel élan won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 35.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.2%, France Unbowed 17.9%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
