Béthines is a commune in Vienne with 305 registered voters, the 184th largest of the département's 265 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 79.7% of them voted, more than the 58.1% across Vienne, and Ensemble pour Béthines won 10 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 31.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 27.2%, France Unbowed 11.1%. France Unbowed did 11 points worse here than across France.
